French drain, sewer line and water entry line installation, repair and replacement
A French drain is a system designed to evacuate water that accumulates around a home's foundation. It consists of pipes buried in a trench partially filled with stone and covered with soil. The water collected by the drain is directed to the municipal storm sewer or sanitary sewer system.
Excavation involves digging through soil and rock to clear a work area for the construction of a structure or the extraction of materials. Simple? The reality is much more complex.
Basically, mini excavation is similar to excavation in that it involves digging through soil and rock to clear a work area for construction purposes. The difference lies in the scale of the project. Digging a mine is considered full-scale excavation, while digging along residential foundations, removing a large tree stump or scraping an asphalt surface are projects more commonly associated with mini excavation.
A sewer line is the pipe that carries wastewater from a building to the municipal sewer system. Inside the building, this pipe includes a cleanout connection that, once unscrewed, allows the line to be cleaned toward the street.
A home’s foundation is an extremely important structural element because it supports the weight of the building and the settlement of the soil. It is also affected by surrounding structures, vegetation, nearby traffic, moisture, temperature variations and the freeze-thaw cycle.
We carry out construction and restoration work for asphalt paving and interlocking pavers for a wide range of applications, including roads, curbs, concrete sidewalks, parking lots and traffic areas for commercial buildings.
